What counseling costs

Written plainly, so you can work out what you would pay before you call anyone.

Three ways people pay for care here

Orchard is a nonprofit and a teaching practice, so cost is not one number. Find the row that describes you.

Through your insurance

We participate in a number of plans. Your cost is whatever your policy sets as your copay, coinsurance, or deductible.

With Dr. Darleen Claire Wodzenski.

Self-pay

You pay the session rate directly. Payment plans are available, and a partial scholarship exists for clients who need it.

Sessions with Beth Wodzenski are self-pay.

With a counseling intern

Sessions with a supervised graduate intern are offered at low cost, and in some circumstances at no cost.

Georgia only. Availability varies by which interns are placed with us.

Counseling session rates

These are our self-pay rates. If you are using insurance, your insurer has negotiated its own rate and you will owe only your share of it. The code beside each line is the billing code, in case you want to check coverage with your plan first.

Insurance

We participate in a number of plans. Coverage is always subject to your insurer’s determination, and contracts differ by state, so please tell us your state of residence and your plan and we will confirm before your first session.

Aetna Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Beacon Cigna GEHA Kaiser Optum Tricare United Healthcare

You may also check your coverage through Alma, Headway, or Grow Therapy.

Sessions with Beth Wodzenski and with counseling interns are not billed to insurance.

If the fee is out of reach

Please ask before you decide you cannot afford care. There is usually more room than the rate sheet suggests.

Counseling interns. Because Orchard trains counselors, sessions with a supervised graduate intern are offered at significantly reduced fee and sometimes at no cost. Every intern’s work is reviewed regularly by a licensed supervisor, so you are getting a second experienced clinician thinking about your care. Available in Georgia only.

Partial scholarship. Some clients qualify for a partial scholarship through a community partner. Court-related fees are not eligible.

Payment plans. Available for self-pay clients. Tell us what is workable and we will try to meet it.

Email DrDarleen@orchardhumanservices.org and we will tell you what is open right now.

Your right to a Good Faith Estimate

If you are uninsured, or insured but not using your insurance for care here, you have the right under the No Surprises Act to know what your care will cost before it begins.

You are entitled to a written Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care. Ask for one at any time, and we will provide it in writing at least one business day before your appointment. Keep a copy.

Please visit the Forms page to complete the required Notice and Consent, or ask us for help with it.

Ready to begin, or still working it out

Complete the new client forms and we will reach out within three business days. If you would rather ask about cost first, email DrDarleen@orchardhumanservices.org. A short note is enough.
